Voyage of the ‘Nutjellynana’
Space…the cuddly frontier?

Melby, Alice and Fidge.
Three cuddly toys long since loved, left behind and now forgotten in an old attic.
Life looks like it’s lost its stuffing until Fidge has a banana-brained plan…
Build a rocket ship, blast off, and boldly go where no toy has gone before!!
“Easy.” says Fidge.
“Bonkers!” says Melby.
“Ooooooh!” says Alice.
But when the ‘Nutjellynana’ reaches outer space and Melby disappears down a black hole the three friends get a bigger adventure than they bargained for, with some colourful ‘close encounters’ along the way.
Journey out-of-this-world with amazing puppets, fabulous storytelling, inspired silliness and some salutes to sci-fi classics! This is Angel Heart’s new show for all the family over 4 years. If you can, catch the ‘Nutjellynana’, orbiting a venue near you.
Held at Welcombe Village Hal on 2nd December at 4.30pm
Tickets: £6 adult, £5 child, £20 family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) Children under 3 – free

The parent toddler group runs every Thursday from 10am – 12 noon at the village hall.
If you have a baby or child under school age, we would love for you to join us.
The cost is £1.50 per family and we bring and share snacks. Once a month a helper from Surestart comes to help us run messy play sessions.
For more information, please contact Emma Morrison on 01288 331389 or feel free to turn up and see what we do.
We would also love to hear from any older members of the community who would be interested in coming on Thursday mornings to help with the children’s snacks and join us for a cup of tea. Another pair of hands would also enable us to do more messy play with the children. If you are interested, please contact Emma Morrison on 331389.

Pickled Image – Wolf Tales
was held on Wednesday 30 March 2011
The much-maligned fairytale wolf was allowed to tell his side of the story in this children’s show.
Children and their parents filled the village hall to hear the much-maligned fairytale wolf, with such a bad reputation, tell his side of the story. The show was lots of fun and very interactive. It is difficult to know who enjoyed this funny witty tale the most, children or adults.
The afternoon show was finished off with hot dogs and ice-creams, the sale of which raised funds towards the village hall appeal.
We look forward to receiving Beaford Arts programme of future events.
A big thank you to Ruth and Keith who provided the theatre company with a meal and overnight accommodation and help with food sales at the show.

The day finished with a treasure hunt, which finished at the ‘Olde Smithy’ where a large treasure chest full of chocolate awaited them and was shared with one and all.
